Spirit Fitness - Marketing Manager

Spirit Fitness is a leading fitness equipment manufacturer with a headquarter office in Jonesboro, AR, and manufacturing facilities in both Taiwan and China. We develop, manufacture, market, and sell fitness equipment for home, medical, and commercial settings under multiple brands through our direct websites and through a national dealer network. We built our first fitness product in 1983 with the simple goal of giving our customers the highest quality equipment to help them achieve their fitness goals.

We are seeking a Marketing Manager, with an emphasis on digital marketing who will own and manage a variety of high impact initiatives in support of our industry-leading fitness equipment. This will include but is not limited to, gathering customer insights and research to inform product messaging, positioning and roadmaps. Develop go-to-market plans for new products, features, and functionality and create new strategies for educating our customers on their value. Lastly, this manager will lead the strategy for design, development, implementation and evaluation of acquisition & retention marketing campaigns for these solutions across the following disciplines – channel marketing, email marketing, SEO, Onsite Advertising, Paid Social, SEM and to a lesser extent brand and PR.


  • Set overall vision, strategy, roadmap, plans, and priorities for customer acquisition, customer retention, and user experience.
  • Grow digital marketing channels across paid media, social media, influencer marketing, SEO, PPC, email, and SMS.
  • Manage Channel Marketing product portfolio, promotions and ad campaigns (Amazon, Walmart, Target, etc.).
  • Maintain a marketing calendar for new product launches.
  • Optimize the customers’ website experience for branding and conversions.
  • Establish metrics to measure effectiveness and drive improvements across the portfolio, report KPIs and strategize growth plans.
  • Research and test new marketing strategies and technologies.
  • Maintain product and market knowledge. Analyze and keep abreast of market trends.
  • Best practice research and benchmarking. Conduct competitive analysis and develop a strong understanding of their products to drive better development decisions.
  • Be the thought leader in creating product content (e.g., sales enablement documentation, product videos, website copy, blog, and social media) to articulate the benefits of our products.
  • Maximize the limited marketing budget to develop a greater brand presence in selected strategic markets.
  • Be passionate about adherence to branding both internally and within the worldwide distribution channel.


  • Minimum of 3-5 years of e-commerce experience in direct-to-consumer, retail and wholesale businesses
  • 3+ years of experience with selling on marketplaces (Amazon, Walmart, Target etc.) including direct experience on proprietary administrative tools
  • Expert analytical skills
  • Deep knowledge of requirements, restrictions, and best practices for successfully selling on Amazon, Walmart and other marketplaces
  • Experience in both seller fulfilled and FBA (fulfilled by Amazon) fulfillment models
  • Strong leader with the ability to host a collaborative culture
  • Demonstrated understanding of web technologies, browsers, analytics, reporting and content management systems and processes
  • Demonstrated competency in managing up, supporting direct reports, optimizing and negotiating vendor relationships and successful implementation of cross-functional projects
  • Ability to distill complex data into actionable results
  • Motivated to succeed and go above and beyond as needed
  • Resourceful and comfortable with a fast-paced environment
