Description of the Problem Possible Resolution
   
Where does my elliptical plug in 1. Your electrical inlet is located in the front of your machine on the right hand corner of your elliptical.
   
My elliptical does not power on 1. Make sure your electrical plug is secure in the wall socket outlet.
 
2. Make sure your electrical plug is snug in the inlet going to your elliptical.   

3. Make sure your power switch next to your power cord going into your elliptical is turned on. This switch will light up in the on position.  

4. Make sure your safety key is positioned correctly on the console of your unit.
 
   
My elliptical shuts off after a certain amount of time 1. Check to see your power cord is firmly placed in the wall outlet and in the machine.

2. You may have a loose wire. Please consult the company you purchased the elliptical from for assistance.
   
When designing a user program my elliptical does not store my workout You must complete every step of the user designed program in order for the elliptical to save your data.
   
My elliptical makes a "knocking noise"
or "ticking noise"
1. Check to see that all bolts are snug and tight on the machine.

2. You may need to lubricate the rail guide the rollers slide on. This is recommended on all units using the chrome rail system.
   
The wheels on my Elliptical do not all touch the rail system? 1. This occasionally happens with a new unit. Over time the unit will "seat itself" and all the wheels will eventually touch the rails over time. This does not effect the performance of your machine in any way. 
   
My contact heart rate sensors are not reading accurately? 1. This feature is designed as a training aid only.   

2. For accuracy in reading Heart Rate one should always wear a wireless Heart Rate Chest monitor. 

3. Holding the Hand Grip sensors too tight, too loose, moving your hands, perspiration, and static electricity all play a role in the accuracy of Hand Grip Heart rate sensors.
   
My contact heart sensors do not display any reading? 1. Contact the store you purchased your product from for correct troubleshooting of the problem.
   
The Pedals on my unit feel un-even? 1. On the XE 350 & XE 550 model units Spirit has designed a pedal adjustment to isolate different muscle groups. The pedal adjustment also alleviates "toe numbness" a user may experience on other ellipticals when exercising. You may have one pedal in a different position than the other. This adjustment is located underneath the pedal on the XE 350 & XE 550
